Q. Do you have a manual for our cPanel control
panel?
A. Yes. View our
flash movies on "how to" or click the manual link in your cPanel, or go
here.
Q. Where do I go to login to my cPanel control
panel?
A. You go to http://www.yourdomain.com/cpanel
Q. How do I make sub-domains?
A. Sub domains are like this; somename.yourdomain.com. View our
flash movies on "how to", or to make a sub-domain login to your control
panel and click "Sub Domain" inside of cPanel you will see a place to manage and
add sub-domains.
To create a sub domain cPanel asks
for the name you wish to use. MAKE SURE the sub domain name you give it
doesn't have a folder already named that name. If there is a pre-existing
folder with the same name, the sub will not work. Example... I want to create
the sub domain test.yourdomain.com so my sub name is going to be test. If I
already have a folder in my ftp named test I need to delete it or rename it to
something different before I create the sub domain with the test name from
cPanel.
Q. How do I make Add On Domains
A. If your account comes with the option to add-on domain names, then you
can point a domain name into a sub directory in your account. Example:
www.yourdomain.com/somedirectory/ you can have /somedirectory/ show up when you
point another domain name to it. www.anotherdomainname.com and /somedirectory/
are all the same except the web surfer will not see the /subdirectory/ name at
all. This function can be found in cPanel "Addon domain" Icon. If this feature
is disabled, you will need to upgrade your account. View our
flash movies on "how to".
Q. How do I Park Domain Names
A. A parked domain is having the ability to have your website reached by
multiple domain names. Example: yourdoamin.com, anotherdomain.com all show the
same website. You will find this feature in cPanel "Parked domain" Icon. If this
feature is disabled, you will need to upgrade your account. View our
flash movies on "how to".
The above are the most frequently asked questions. There are many more functions
in cPanel. We recommend you login to cPanel and play around with the various
tools provided. Be sure to view our
